Dr. Joe: From the Take Care of Maya Trial to Advocacy
Hello, friends! If you’re new to my work or have been following along for a while, I want to take a moment to introduce myself and share my mission with you. I’m Dr. Joe, a former OB-GYN and healthcare executive turned advocate. My journey has taken me from the operating room to the courtroom and now to a platform where I help people navigate the complexities of the healthcare system.
My Role in the Take Care of Maya Trial
Dr. Joe Corcoran, COM, testifies at the the Take Care of Maya Trial - a landmark case that brought to light serious issues in medical and child welfare systems.
Many of you may know me from my involvement in the Take Care of Maya Trial—a case that brought to light serious issues in the medical and child welfare systems. My testimony played a role in exposing problems within a billion-dollar healthcare brand and helped deliver justice for a family who had suffered immensely.
Throughout the trial, I stood by what I have always believed: patients and families deserve to be heard, and they deserve better. This case wasn’t just about one family’s experience—it was about ensuring that no one else would have to endure similar injustices in the future.
For those who want to revisit my testimony or the trial’s key moments, you can find a full playlist on Law and Crime’s YouTube channel: Watch Here.
Building a Platform for Advocacy
The trial reinforced something I have known for a long time: our healthcare system is complex, and too many people feel lost in it. That’s why I’ve dedicated this new chapter of my career to advocacy and education. Through my content, I aim to:
📌 Teach people how to advocate for themselves and their families in medical settings.
📌 Expose flaws in the system and push for better policies and protections for patients.
📌 Foster a supportive community where we can have open discussions about healthcare, law, and patient rights.
📌 Engage in meaningful conversations about topics that matter, from medical ethics to personal well-being.
What’s Next?
I want to make this platform as interactive as possible. I’ll be hosting live Q&A sessions, sharing my thoughts on critical issues in healthcare, and inviting you to join me in making a difference.
I encourage you to engage, ask questions, and be part of this growing community. If you want to support the mission and be part of exclusive discussions, consider joining my members-only sessions where we dive even deeper into these critical topics.
